I want to share about my experience with Kawartha Care and the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.

I’m going to be completely honest. I didn’t really realize how much this could actually do for me.

Prior to having children I had a strong pelvic floor with activities I enjoyed like horseback riding. After having my daughter and the birth trauma related to it. I knew I didn’t feel the core strength I used too.

Tesca does virtual appointments and I have to say they have been wonderful. I feel well connected and cared for. She explains things so well, shows you examples and really works with you to gain a full understanding of where you need improvement. If you are not sure this treatment is needed, I highly recommend doing the free 15 minute discovery call!

First I want to mention that you DO NOT have to be a mom or anything to need this treatment there are many other symptoms you can have that can be solved with Pelvic Heath Physio.

The first virtual meeting was a mix of the first part questions to gain understanding of what I need treatment wise. There was a questionnaire to fill out prior as well. Tesca also assessed my movements by watching me do tasks she explained and performed. After her assessment we moved into simple exercise to create the base for my treatments! Honestly they were very simple to do, maybe taking 15 mins from your day to complete.

Due to my c sections we had to work on that as well meaning some scar desensitization and massage. This is also highly recommended to help healing of c sections which I found wasn’t really talked about in my regular postpartum care from my doctor. This was all new to me as I hadn’t really heard of this prior. But I did notice a huge improvement in only a week once starting on these exercises!

I had a follow up appointment after 2 weeks. This gave me time to focus on my exercises and see an improvement. The second meeting starts off with reviewing how the tasks went. Seeing if I noticed changes and Tesca seeing where and what to do moving forward. In the two weeks I noticed a significant improvement in all areas. We decided to move on to more “workout style” exercise to then build on top of the base we laid out at the first virtual appointment. Tesca shows you the exercise then will watch you do it to ensure you are performing them correctly to get the absolute best results from her treatment.

Overall I can say I am 100% happy with the results so far. I have noticed so much improvement. Felt the exercise working for me and felt that I am getting closer to my initial goal and the reason I decided to do Pelvic Health Physio. I am also so happy that I could do all of this virtually! It made it so much easier for me. As a stay at home mom of two I actually was able to book my appointments during nap time! So no one had to get ready to leave the house. I laid my kids down and met with Tesca (virtually), she also was so very understanding if I had a child need my attention during the appointment (which did happen). I truly appreciate her response to everything during the appointments. Whether my internet kicked out or my kids stirred she was professional, kind and picked up right where we left off!

I want to leave you with one last note! I cannot recommend Pelvic Health Phsyio enough. To EVERYONE. Young or old, male or female, kids or not! If you have a symptom that can be corrected with this treatment, you need to do it! Taking control of your health and getting back to feeling your best self is 100% worth it! Thank you Kawartha Care and Tesca for your wonderful treatment, kindness and giving me the confidence to not cross my legs when sneezing! (If you know you know)
